Hello everyone, as stated in our first post we are going to detail what we mean by distribution, and how to do it safely.

So, distribution. What we want from you is to print out the magazine, put it together, and spread it around your community. We would also then appreciate if you sent us a photo of it in the wild, and told us what city its in, though this part is completely optional. Just make sure not to show your face and to delete the photos Metadata. Thats it really. Not particularly complicated.

Printers in the modern day are saftey nightmares. So a little more caution is necessary. Therefore we have also taken the liberty to write a guide on the best practices for safe printing. The guide may be found below.

SAFE PRINTING GUIDE

We know there have been quite a few concerns about the security of physically printing the mag so we put together this guide going over how to mitigate the risk of printing as much as possible. We have also drafted statments on the risks of physical printing, and how to conceptualize saftey for this kind of action.

So if you want a more detailed explanation of why these measures are necessary and how to think about the risk in general, read those.

Ok, on to the guide proper.

In main there are 2 options for safe printing.

Option 1: Pay with cash at a library, Staples, Kikkos, etc. This will have the make it so that any forensic tracking information will come back to the place that you printed, not directly to you. Wear a face mask for the camera, pay with cash, rename the file, and if any sort of ID is necessary, go somewhere else. If all of those steps are taken some information can be gathered, but in all likelihood not enough to trace back to you.

Option 2: Do it at home. Make sure you have an older printer, preferably black and white only and a decade or more old. If it’s any younger, use this app to cover up specificly yellow dots* (though keep in mind they may not be the only forensic tracking method) Keep it disconnected from the internet and wipe its disc when you’re done.If you do this it is very unlikely any information can be tracked to you.

Those measures ought to be sufficient to print saftey, though understand that there are no guarantees. Please take care to determine for yourself and your situation wether these risks are worth it, and please do not take any risks you aren’t comfortable with. Support the mag!
